Hibachi Style Chicken Fried Rice

Servers 10 and takes about 30 minutes to prepare

Ingredient list:

4 cups rice - cook and set aside

1 Cup Diced Onion

2 Cups Chopped Cooked Chicken

1/2 Cup Chopped Carrots

1/2 Cup Peas

1/2 Stick Butter

Salt

2 Teaspoons Fresh Ground Pepper

3 Whisked Eggs

Tamari or Soy Sauce - We like Tamari

Sesame Seeds


Instructions:

  • Sauté onions in 1 tablespoon butter for 3 minutes then carrots for another 3 minutes

  • Add cooked chicken and Sauté for another few minutes.

  • Add 3 tablespoons of butter and add rice stir constantly on high for 3 - minutes

  • Add peas

  • Make a spot in the center for 1 tablespoon butter, poor in 3 whisked eggs and scramble

  • Incorporate scrambled egg into the rest of the rice

  • Sprinkle with Salt and add a generous amount of pepper

  • Splash about 1/4 cup of Tamari or Soy Sauce evenly over the rice and continue to stir constantly

  • Rice is ready to serve after tasting and adjusting flavors before serving
